Getting the best automobile insurance rate is simply a matter of knowing the facts about insurance plans. This article will give you a variety of tips on what to look out for when you’re reading to purchase a policy. Applying these tips should help you save money on your premium, no matter what type of car or truck you drive.
Having an expensive car or car that is considered a sports car will often increase the price one pays for auto insurance. If one does not like the sound of that then they should consider getting a different type of car. It will not only save them insurance money but often money off the car itself.
One of the best ways to drop your auto insurance rates is to show the insurance company that you are a safe, reliable driver. To do this, you should think about attending a safe-driving course. These courses are affordable, quick, and you could end up saving thousands of dollars over the life of your insurance policy.
If you have a vehicle that is not worth much, consider getting only liability coverage on it. You can save a lot of money this way. You should know that if you have an accident that is your fault with liability coverage, you will not be covered, only the other driver will be covered.

Carry comprehensive and collision coverage if you have a newer vehicle or one worth a great deal. If you do not have a lien, you are not required to carry these coverages, but they provide protection for specific types of claims which can be crucial for expensive or newer vehicles. For example, comprehensive coverage protects you if a tree falls on your vehicle, while basic minimum liability does not.
Consider the effect on your insurance premium before purchasing a new vehicle. Auto insurance rates are based on numerous factors, including the likelihood of theft and the cost of repairs. Even if the purchase price on a vehicle is reasonable, if it is a commonly stolen model or one that is expensive to repair, you may find yourself paying considerably more in insurance premiums.
If you are thinking about purchasing a new vehicle, you should look for a large vehicle. If you buy a van or a truck, chances are damages will not be too bad if you get into an accident. Most insurance companies know this, and offer relatively low rates for these types of vehicles.
Many people buy an auto insurance policy thinking their agent will always give them the best rate. But as you can see, knowing the details of what goes into an insurance policy can end up saving you money on your premium. If you follow the advice presented in this article, you should be able to save a considerable amount on your auto insurance plan.

Run the proper air pressure. Wipe the tire down with brake fluid. Leave it wet. In a couple hours wipe it down again. you will notice the cracks getting smaller and the rubber looking newer. Keep in mind that this is not magic, your best bet is to change the tire now but this will be better than nothing if you decide against changing it at all. You should still change it when you have a chance.
The $50 tire fee INCLUDES balancing, and is well the $.
The checkering on the sidewalls is not a major issue.
I have heard of PDIs (pre-delivery inspection) using a dyno, but not as a of the running in schedule – you do not want constant loads but a variety (including high revs).
A few years ago (I am not if the situation is the same now, but I would imagine so), I know some manufacturers (Yamaha and Suzuki for example) used a lower quality oil in their delivered bikes to encourage the mating process, this oil would breaking down after about 1,000 miles, so the 500 or 600 mile service was critical.
There are also various checks to be made, tightness of fasteners, slackness of cables etc.
Usually when you get into a lot of trouble, you have to do a amount of hours of community service (not volunteering though).
Just cool down. Leave that probs of urs .
Do NOT change the recommended pressure that just makes things worse
a blow out on a bike is catastrophic. you go down
ride slower, with helmet and jacket.
it should not cost $50 on top of the price of the tire. check around
take a break, but, give up. all things in time, so they say. sorry about your job. you are not alone. life kind of sucks here too.
It has nothing to do with the question. a joke; the guy probably got in trouble with the law and had to do those 500 hours of community service, but the girl just thinks being a good citizen.
HA! pretty cute
$50 for changing a tire!!! What a rip off. $10 – $15 a tire is about right. Find yourself a good motorcycle mechanic (not car) instead of buying fixaflat stuff. Yes, putting that stuff in your tires really annoys us.
Tires do crack with age, normally this a problem unless the depth of the cracks are through to the carcass of the tire. By that point the tire should NOT be run under any circumstances. Putting any sealant into your tire will not prevent a blowout. It will just allow you to blow your tire up again and get home but a taxi can do that after your visit to the hospital!!
Listen to Brian M. The man talks sense.
OIl & filer change, adjust chain, tighten all bolts, adjust tire pressure.
looks like every one has the same ideas… fix a flat is C rap.. & the easy fix is change the tire your self..
put the bike on the center stand.. pile a heap of books/ bricks/ what ever you can find on the back of the seat… front wheel now in the air..
undo axel bolt…& slide out..( note where any spacers go )..
wheel is now on the ground.. If you ever changed a bicycle tire.. its the same but a bit bigger..
let the air out.. remove the valve..( NOT THE VALVE STEM)..
lay the wheel down.. stand on the tyre next to the rim.. use your heels of your feet.. push the edge of the tire into the rim.. turn the wheel over do the same on the other side..now wipe with some soapy water.. soap is slippery & this helps..
now using a couple of screw drivers.. fork/spoon/knife handles from the kitchen.lever the tire over the rim…
put your (lever) screwdriver / fork handle over the edge of the rim & under the tire bead/ edge.. make sure the tire at the other side to the levers sits in the center of the rim.. this gives you as much room as possible to lever the tire over the rim..
now put the next lever/ spoon handle over the rim & under the bead about 2-3" away from the one that is already holding the tire outside the rim.. lever that over the rim.. you now have a small section of the tire out side the rim.. now move one of your levers another 2-3" away & do it again..now have a bigger section out side the rim.. do this around the tire untill the whole side is out side the rim… the tire can now be lifted & with your levers to lever the tire over the same side of the rim.. push with your hands as you go.. this side comes off easy..
wipe the rim down.. clean is good..hold new tire up push rim into the tire & work around the rim to push the first side of the tire on to the rim.. shouldnt need any levers.. should be able to push it on with your hands… & maybe stand on the last bit with your foot to get it on the rim..
do the same with the other side… tire now ready to be pumped up…
put wheel back.. spacers in the correct place.. axel in.. do it up.. all done
whole thing takes less than 2 hours even if its your first time..
must be videos on Utube on how to do it..
would think that 2 hours now… is better than 2 days in hospital when the tire blows..
Beware that if you add some of tire sealant, you may find that you are charged more worked for a shop that doubled the cost) to have the tire changed. That stuff is Nasty to deal with when changing a tire. Now-days, if I find that in a tire, going to hand it back to my customer and tell them no charge for popping the bead, but they can find someone else to deal with the mess. just not my time.
But since you Have the replacement tire, why not set yourself up to save money for the rest of your riding career and learn to change the tire yourself? a little labor intensive, but not Difficult work by any means. You do need 1 specialized tool, being 2~3 tire irons. Ask around with the other riders you know, they may have some sitting around (or, if you know any racers, they probably know someone with a tire changing station that makes the process stupid simple). With a manual changing station, I can do a tire in 5 minutes, including static balance. On the floor (put the tire on 2 pieces of 2×4 to keep the rotors off the ground) with irons, more like 20 minutes for an easy tire or 40 for a hard one ~ some just fight back more. Anyway, Plenty of youtube videos on how to break the bead and change the tire. probably saved well over $10,000 by just changing my own tires (cheaper tire costs via mail-order and mounting costs) over the last decade. Yes, I go through 10 sets of tires a year (multiple bikes, and race bikes chew through tires).
Baring that, 4 days from the end of the month. The tire probably going to do anything between now and then. And if one of those crack Did let go, I doubt that the fix-a-flat stuff would bond well enough to keep the tire from losing air. That stuff is designed for small punctures, not big rips.
ok riding with cracks is never good…but I have been in the same position, when you have to get to work and the bike with the dodgy front is the only option.
what easy going157 says about changing your own tyre is possible…however he has missed a few crucial points…
1. you mentioned you have a centre stand, so you are not able to get the bike of the ground. You could purchase paddock stands when you have the money, You would require a front and rear to safely balance your pride and joy. From Ebay these would be around $60, expensive now but cheaper than $50 every time you need a tyre change.
2. Nobody has mentioned breaking the bead on the tyre (the groove on the tyre where the rim sits) this is pushed in by air pressure and even when you let the air out you need to wrestle the wheel to get the bead to break away from the rim.
Also getting the tyre back on the bead afterward requires a compressor. You will know its on the bead again when you get 2 large loud pops (one for each side going back on the bead)
3. Removing the valve completely will require a Valve Core Remover, this is a small tool, can be purchased again from ebay for $2.
4. I would pay to watch some one remove a motorcycle tyre with a spoon or screwdriver. You need a strong steel lever, a spoon will bend and a with a screw driver you risk damaging the new tyre and you rims (oh and rim protectors are the only way you will really prevent yourself scratching your rims)
Also unless you have massive over-sized tyre on your GPZ rims you will not be able to simply push you tyre on gracefully with your hands, one side will go on, but the other side will need levered on.
5 (and last point, I promise) there is a spot on your new tyre you should line up with the valve on your rim, this is the balance point for the wheel, this is how those of us who do not have wheel balancers in our homes, balance the wheel, provided the wheel weights are present and undamaged.
All in all $50 for the tyre is prob not a bad deal considering your not going to be doing it every other month. Its shame because over here in the UK tyre change and BALANCE is only £20 ($30) tops The balance weight is only $0.15.
Sorry for the lenghty response just didnt want you changing the wheel and getting stuck half way or worse damaging/dropping the bike
nothing , its just somebody has made a mistake and if you have reminded them , reacted . chill you are a cyclist .
Good one. LOVE Ya
GOD BLESS
LOL HILARIOUS
that was cute, lol.
Dyno ?
May be because it is so irrelevant to the question being asked, it got a lot of thumbs ups.
hi jimi. now that makes me smile and think of my hubby in his younger, rowdier days.
good one once again.
answer is yes we r sheeple.not everyone but alot of working america r sheeple.they work us 50 hours a week then we have no time to do anything dont waste time learning cuz they have to work then go home and watch american idol.no really innovations have come up in the fields of or philosophy.scientists seem to be the only ones doing something.we use to be able to work as many or as little hours a week we want.now we need to make way too much crap that just gets thrown away anyway cuz they make u work 8 hours instead of working enough to meet the real numbers they need.theres alot more problems then this though.
If she had taken the proper steps to become a citizen she have this problem. If her parents actually cared for her, then they would not have brought her into a life of crime.
Mexico needs to pay the hospital bill, along with interest, and of course there is the mental anguish that the neighbor is experiencing now.
The reason they are asking you to state a rate is they want you to rate your credit. If you choose a low rate they will think you are used to paying low rates and must have good credit.
Holy shit, you have the same hair as me! a first.
yes all new motorcycles need this. they change the oil and filter. while you are breaking in your bike little metal get in your engine. not a bad its literally just being broken in. then they go throu pretty much all the bolts on the bike. the bike obviously comes from the factory with all the bolts tight, but during your initial rides the vibrations from the bike tend to loosen things up. so they will just make sure everything is nice and snug. i would also suggest that you go throu your bike once a month and check it yourself also just to be on the safe side. then they will just go throu your bike and check fluids, tire pressure and so on. if you are still in the break in period try not to beat your bike too bad. anyway congrats on the new bike man have fun!!
When exactly were these wonderful Good Old Days?
I remember a time when Americans simply exposed to all the horrible things that happened in the world. Is that the time talking about?
My dad is always talking about the "good old days" and how the world was better, simpler in the He lived in the South, so I ask him if life was better for the black people his father hired to work on the farm. He stops talking after that.
Each time in history has its joys and sorrows. To compare "now" to "then" is apples and oranges.
Well Old Hippie, I know what is so "objectionable" about your answer as you have asked your question in the cycling section – bicycles. I know what section your question would fit into though, but it is not cycling.

I think that your answer was formal and polite, unlike others I have seen. Obviously the asker has a fuse and your answer as abuse. So your answer got erased and you lost 2 points. Big deal!
You could this answer as abuse too and I would loose 2 points.
The only justification for the situation is, in my opinion, that the sections are intended as a "guide" to facilitate askers get the right answer, not as a rigid structure.
When I find a misplaced question, I answer it if I can, go with the flow…
And again, I see anything "objectionable" about your answer. I hope you get your 2 points back.
I think so
No but if you have a problem with modern life and just handle it any more why not become a mennenite. They live a simple life. They bother anybody and until the school shooting nobody really bothered them. You could learn to can fruit, make Amish quilts, maybe even sew dresses by hand. that be fun? No phone, no tv, no radio, CDs are a no-no. Plain and simple, yup that is what you need.
Alot of body shops can paint it for you, also check around for motorcycle shops, sometimes they have people that will paint for them on the side.
With all the better things in life come worse things.
You have everything. You need a little of both.
not that funny.
looks like a scam.
